Weekly Recap - The Good and the Bad

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

This was a shorter week for me as I took a Personal Day yesterday. One week closer to Winter Break!

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

Day of Injuries and Illnesses - Thank goodness for paper towels! A wet paper towel solves every major illness and injury. Thursday was the day that EVERY student seemed to have some ailment. Even the kids noticed how bad everyone was feeling. At least the wet paper towels helped us get through the day!

Doctor Visit - I love that my school has tons of different services available to my students. This week, they had doctors doing physicals and giving shots to students. Four of my students went to the medical van for their visit. When they came back, although sore, they were excited because they each had a backpack full of goodies - books and socks! I wish more families would take advantage of this service. I don't mind losing students for part of the day while they go visit the doctor because I know they are getting some of their basic needs met!

Personal Day - I highly recommend taking Personal/Sick Days as needed. They definitely save your sanity! Every December, my Mom, sister, and I take a day to bake Christmas cookies. This year, my niece even participated!
