Weekly Recap - The Good and the Bad

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

I am officially on Winter Break! I am super excited! I need this time for lots of rest and relaxation.

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

Zoo Keeper - This week I felt like a zookeeper. It was tough keeping the kids under control. We punched golden tickets (like in The Polar Express) which helped a lot, but I still had major issues like stealing, tears, etc. to deal with!

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

Wednesday - On Wednesday, I had 6 students absent, 4 being my trouble making boys. It was a glorious day. We got so much done, and it was super peaceful! My students kept saying, "Today is the best day ever!"

Music - I have a giant New Kids on the Block button on my file cabinet. One of my boys saw it and asked about them. As a class, we listened to a song (which turned into an impromptu dance party). The best part was every time we did quiet work, they asked to listed to the New Kids. One of the times we listened to them, one of my girls shouted out, "Wait! Is that Joey McIntyre?" I was floored that she knew who he was. It turns out she remembered him from Fuller House. I feel good that my students will go to fourth grade knowing the essentials - New Kids on the Block and Michael Buble (last week's interest from the students).
