Weekly Recap - The Good and the Bad

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

This week was wacky! We had the Polar Vortex hit our area. This caused us to have two days off with temperatures of -15 and a windchill at -50 degrees!

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

Interesting Computer - Today I had students work on their computers to take an AR test after we read a book together. I noticed one boy had his computer turned in a unique way. That's because he was searching for porn! At least our filters work pretty well. He was stuck with clinical definitions and lots of trouble!

Low Class Sizes - We had a horrible snow storm on Monday. I struggled to get to school and barely made it on time. Gradually my students trickled in and we made it up to 8 students before having one go home due to vomiting. Tuesday and today we only had 12 students show up. Once again, they trickled in both days. I can't start anything new with so many kids missing. We did lots of review and classroom cleaning though!

2 Days Off - I'm not going to lie...I loved my days off! I was exhausted and really needed the extra sleep.

Major Spring Cleaning - It may not be spring yet, but I definitely made use of the smaller class sizes to do major cleaning in our classroom. I love getting rid of things!

Books - I love February books! There are so many that I love to read to my students this month. I am super excited to get the books out in our monthly display.

Black History Month, Groundhog Day, Dental Health Month, President's Day, and Valentine's Day are all this month!
