Weekly Recap - The Good and the Bad

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

I was so exhausted when I got home today that I had to take a nap before writing this post! I'm so excited for the weekend because I just want to sleep!

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

Regression - Do you know the expression, "Two steps forward, one step back?" That was kind of like my week only it was two steps forward, 100 steps back. I felt like everything went downhill starting Tuesday morning when I picked them up from breakfast. They couldn't behave anywhere!

Lies - As I was leaving yesterday, my principal stopped me to say a parent had come in ranting and raving about how I wouldn't let her son go to the bathroom and he had peed his pants. Did I mention that the child never asked me to use the bathroom? I haven't mastered my mind reading skills. Luckily, the boy admitted to it today. Don't you love when students go home and tell flat out lies (I'm not going to sugarcoat this and say they tell stories!) to their parents?

Making Better Decisions - While this week was not the best, there were some highlights. For example, two of my boys asked to sit away from others during an assembly, so they wouldn't get into trouble. I was so proud of them for making a good decision!

Lost and Found - Our Lost and Found box has been overflowing. At the end of the day, I took everything out of the box and asked students about each item. Eventually all the items were claimed, except the pencils. We took those to put in a take a container for anyone to take as needed. It may have been a stretch to put this in my Good category, but it was a rough week. I'll take what I can get!

How was your week?
What was good and bad for you?
