This week started off with a much needed Sick Day and ended with Parent Teacher Conferences.
Certain Substitutes - I am definitely not bad-mouthing all subs (I used to be one). However, the sub I had this week was not good! I don't mind subs doing what they need to do to survive the day. I do mind when NOTHING in my sub plans was done. What did they do all day? Work I had hidden away for a small group was completed (how was this even found)? Students' desks and chairs were moved all over the room. Things were broken. Grrrr.....
Friday Breakfast - Our Social Committee has a sign-up where you bring in breakfast one Friday during the school year and get it every other week. This week was my turn. I got to bake up a storm, which I love, and decorate (within reason).

Donors Choose - I got another Thank You Package done this week! This is a bit time consuming to do, but it's worth it after getting all the materials! I still have one more package to complete, and I will finally be caught up! This past summer I was lucky enough to have three projects funded. I told myself that I can't create any new projects until all the Thank You Packages were done! Interested in tips to getting your project funded? Click HERE to see my favorite tips.
Parent/Teacher Conferences - I was debating which category to put this under, the Good or the Bad, but ultimately decided it should go here. I had exactly half of my students' parents/grandparents show up (the Bad). However, these conferences went so incredibly well. Everyone was very supportive and really wants to help their child (grandchild)! I only wish I had more families come. Having your own conferences? Check out my tips by clicking the pic below.

What was good and bad for you?
