Weekly Recap - The Good and the Bad

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

This week was one of a lot of lasts. It was the last Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! Next Monday will be our last day! I am super excited!

Confessions of a Frazzled Teacher

Behavior and Students - This was a tough week for certain students. It was filled with defiant behavior from two, a HUGELY inappropriate act from another (this involved principal interaction - much bigger than just going to the dean), and lots of little things that drove me crazy.

Paperwork Complete - This week was our last regular week of school. Monday is our official last day. This has meant a ton of packing and completing busy work (aka paperwork). My report cards are finished - printed and stapled. I completed all the cumulative folders and white cards. By the way, how archaic is this system? Everything should be done online. Yet, it feels so good to get this all done!

Candy Bar Awards - This week our staff held Candy Bar Awards. Each day we voted for a staff member that demonstrated that award. For example, I got the Snickers Award (for the staff member that is a little nutty). 😀 It was a hit!

Read-a-thon - We hoeld a classroom read-a-thon this week. It was so much fun! We played reading tag, had flashlight reading, made bookmarks, had book writing time, hosted an AR contest, etc. The day went by so fast! If you would like more information about having a Read-a-thon, click HERE.
