Continuing with the Women's History Month theme, this book focuses on 13 American women that have changed history. In fact, this book is based on Elizabeth Warren and her refusal to be silenced in the Senate. Side Note: This book is written by former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton.

I like that it is full of short stories about different women. This makes it easy to focus on one woman for the day or read the whole story straight through. While the book itself doesn't seem to be very long, it is wordy. Make sure to allow plenty of time to read it to your students!

If you like this book, there is another one in this series that focuses on women around the world.

What book do you recommend?
