The Frazzled Teacher Recommends: The Book With No Pictures

The Frazzled Teacher Recommends: The Book With No Pictures

Do you love books as much as I do? I definitely consider myself an avid reader! I am always on the lookout for new books while taking the time to reread my favorites. Join me each Thursday as I share a classroom treasure with you. Let me know what you think of the book and what book you would recommend!

April Fools' Day is quickly approaching. I like to do some fun activities with my students to celebrate. Of course, reading fun stories aloud is one of them! This book is perfect for April Fools' Day!

I love the Book With No Pictures because it's just hilarious! As the title suggests, there are no pictures in this book. The first time I read it to my students and they hear the title, I usually get groans. Why read a book with no pictures? Once I start reading, their attitude changes! Throughout the story, the reader is forced to say silly things just because it is written in the book.

Since this book is made up of a lot of nonsense words, it could be difficult for struggling readers to read on their own. Because it's so entertaining, I find that even my lowest readers love looking (notice I couldn't say reading) at this book again and again.

If you don't like this book or are looking for some other entertaining books for April Fools' Day (or just a couple other hilarious books), then check these out as well.

I may laugh out loud while reading both of these books. I dare anyone to try and keep a straight face while reading them!

What book do you recommend?
